Rice House
The 19th century farmhouse, now known as the Rice House restaurant, serves as the historical cornerstone on the north lawn of the resort. Meticulously dismantled on the original Rice Plantation in nearby Rome, Georgia before it was carefully relocated and resurrected at Barnsley Resort, our culinary team pays homage to the home’s Southern heritage. Our chefs rely on locally farm-grazed cattle and garden-grown produce (inquire about what is grown here at the resort) as well as taking inspiration from what is in the moment and unexpected in his interpretation of modern farmhouse cuisine.
The Sun Porch and two small private dining rooms are perfect for guests wishing to entertain friends or colleagues.
Location & Directions
Just an hour north of Atlanta and south of Chattanooga on I-75, Barnsley Resort is located in Northwest Georgia among 3,000 scenic acres in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. For the best travel experience, please utilize our directions below rather than utilizing internet map services or your vehicle’s GPS. For reference, the address is 597 Barnsley Gardens Road, Adairsville, Georgia, 30103.
Directions from Atlanta
Take I-75 North to Exit 306. Turn left off the exit. Travel approximately 2.2 miles on Highway 140. Turn left at red light onto Hall Station Road and travel south approximately 5.5 miles. Take a right at Barnsley Gardens Road (just past Mt. Carmel Church). Travel 2.5 miles to the main entrance of the resort on the left.
Directions from Chattanooga
Take I-75 South to Exit 306 and follow the signs. Travel west on Highway 140 for 2.2 miles Turn left at red light onto Hall Station Road and travel south for 5.5 miles. Take a right at Barnsley Gardens Road (just past Mt. Carmel Church). Travel 2.5 miles. The Resort entrance will be on your left.
Chauffeured Transportation
Barnsley Resort has partnered with Greene Worldwide Transportation to provide limousine and town car service for our guests. We are happy to assist with making arrangements for your transportation needs. Please notify us at least 48 hours in advance of your arrival.
Airport Information
The resort is conveniently located 70 miles north of the Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and 65.5 miles South of The Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport. We are more than happy to assist in arranging pick-up for individuals or groups. Please notify us of your needs at least 48 hours in advance of your arrival.
Helicopter
Barnsley Resort is easily accessible via helicopter with a heli-pad onsite. Our coordinates are N34 18. 12W 084 58. 93. Should you require assistance upon landing, please contact Guest Services at 770.773.7480. Please be aware that a crane is currently on resort property within the construction site for the Inn at Barnsley Resort and Georgian Hall. Please be aware upon approach and note the crane jib height will not exceed 200’0” above ground level.
