Help when it was needed
Yesterday I had to make the two-hour trip from Houston County to bring my husband to the ER at nearby St. Thomas. He had a triple by-pass there two weeks ago, and it was feared he had a clot, but because of the virus, they would not let me into the hospital to wait with him. I found there was Wi-Fi in the parking lot, but then my iPad, my only source of communication, began to die, and in my hurry I had not brought any kind of charger, much less one that would fit in the car. Stoplights were not working because of power outages – but I managed to make my way to Belle Meade Office Depot. The nice lady at the register called for a tech to help me. I believe his name was Joe. He not only selected the (quite inexpensive) parts that I needed, but came all the way out to the car to make sure that they worked and that my device was charging. Because of him, I was able to communicate with my children, our siblings, and other relatives during the three-hour wait. My husband is fine! Just a hematoma, not a clot. This incident may sound like a small matter, but believe me, the courteous extra help I received from Joe made a huge difference. Thank you for running a fine business and having great people on your staff!
