When Islands founder Tony DeGrazier stepped off the beaches of Oahu after a day of surfing with his Navy buddies in the early 60s, he did what came naturally to him. He went searching for a juicy burger, a hot basket of fries & a cold drink. Twenty years later, in 1982, it was that sense of place & satisfaction he was trying to recreate when he took a little chunk of the islands & plopped it down right in the mainland of Southern California.
Today, Islands still is true to Tony’s original experience & his original vision. And though our menu has grown to include salads, soups & soft tacos, we still adhere to the basic philosophy that fresh food, friendly service & a laid back atmosphere is the perfect end to a hard day of work or play. We hope you taste it in every bite. And we hope that whether you’re a hungry surfer or busy salesperson, you walk into Islands & say to yourself, like Tony did those many years ago, “Ahh…this is the place I want to be.”

Our Specialties
Islands has been grilling up the best burgers in Southern California for more than three decades. Also popular are our cheddar fries, local draft beers and tropical drinks including our mai tai. A great spot to watch a game, large HD TVs are located throughout the restaurant. Islands West Covina has a huge patio which is perfect for big groups and lots of fun. Drop in for happy hour during the week from 4pm to 7pm for great food and drink specials.
