When Islands founder Tony DeGrazier stepped off the beaches of Oahu after a day of surfing with his Navy buddies in the early 60s, he did what came naturally to him. He went searching for a juicy burger, a hot basket of fries & a cold drink. Twenty years later, in 1982, it was that sense of place & satisfaction he was trying to recreate when he took a little chunk of the islands & plopped it down right in the mainland of Southern California.
Today, Islands still is true to Tony’s original experience & his original vision. And though our menu has grown to include salads, soups & soft tacos, we still adhere to the basic philosophy that fresh food, friendly service & a laid back atmosphere is the perfect end to a hard day of work or play. We hope you taste it in every bite. And we hope that whether you’re a hungry surfer or busy salesperson, you walk into Islands & say to yourself, like Tony did those many years ago, “Ahh…this is the place I want to be.”

Enjoy daily happy hour, on our huge lanai or in the bar, for specials on appetizers, tropical drinks, wine and cold draft beer. The lanai is also great for big parties and for watching sports on our big HD TVs. Islands gourmet burgers like the spicy Kilauea burger and fries pair perfectly with ice cold beer or our wide selection of tropical drinks and cocktails.
