Just a copy of what I’m posting on sites after my experience in your store today… Went to the Batteries Plus in My Juliet, TN to buy a Duracell H6 auto battery…already knew what I wanted. The salesperson was a younger taller white male, long hair in a ponytail and when I asked for the battery I wanted he asked if my car had electronics and proceeded to tell I needed a more expensive AGM battery. I told him I wasn’t interested, I just wanted the one I asked for. He then told me I didn’t need it that one because it wouldn’t last. At this point I just wanted to buy the battery I came for. I told him the battery I had had lasted for 6 years and was like the one I wanted and that I would be trading the car in 1-2 years. He said that I’d be replacing the new battery a couple of times…I didn’t know Batteries Plus sold such crappy batteries. I understand ‘upselling’, but to keep criticizing my choice, which is a top rated battery, was really TERRIBLE customer service. Finally I told him fine I wouldn’t buy it and would go elsewhere where they would sell me what I wanted. This guy was RUDE and ARROGANT. This store sets a new standard for lack of customer service. I have tried calling the store manager but he evidently refuses to return my call. I have a business account (or rather HAD) at the store for purchases. Now I will be looking for a new supplier. I can only urge everyone to use caution at this store because they will try to intimidate you into buying and spending more than you need.
