Yia Yia Mary’s, opened in 2005, is named for the Pappas family’s grandmother (“yia yia” is Greek for “grandmother”) and is a story of the family history, reflected through the recipes passed down by family members. Our team of chefs scoured the family recipe books to create the perfect menu of authentic Greek cuisine.
Yia Yia Mary’s offers appetizers that keep true to the custom of eating Greek: small dishes or ‘Mezes’ to be shared, like the keftedes (Greek meatballs), fried calamari, or Hummus served with warm pita bread. Specialties include our pastitsio, traditional Greek casserole, and grilled lamb. Pulling from the fisherman roots, Yia Yia Mary’s offers a variety of the freshest seafood from mahi mahi to sea bass. Other offerings include traditional gyro, our famous Greek salad or souvlaki (grilled meat kabobs) served with lemon-roasted potatoes. No meal is complete without a fresh-made traditional Greek dessert, like our famous baklava.
Yia Yia Mary’s is open daily for lunch & dinner and offers to-go service and a beautiful patio for outdoor seating.
