About the Store

Welcome to Whole Foods Market River Street. We are the foodie’s food store. Shop for local produce, day boat seafood, dry aged beef, cheeses, breads, sweets pantry staples and more. Oh, we also offer a large selection of craft beer and over 600 varieties of wine (we’re the only store in the Boston/Cambridge area to have a beer and wine license). And what’s more, you can shop for body care, vitamins, magazines, cookbooks, clothing, toys and more! We truly are your one stop shopping market. And, if you can’t make it in, don’t worry, you can shop us virtually (see Ordering Online below)

We are located just outside of Central Square in Cambridge, convenient and accessible, we are minutes from the Mass Pike and Storrow Drive (take the Cambridge exit), and seconds from Memorial Drive. Take River Street off Memorial Drive (signs say “To Central Square”) and we are one block up on the right. Free and ample parking! We even have a garage so if the weather is not cooperating (rain, snow, it is New England) you won’t have to worry about getting wet or stuck in snow.
