How do I obtain a park entrance pass?

Only 118 of your 417 park sites charge entrance fees. You can obtain park entrance passes by visiting a park site that charges an entrance fee. Entrance fee sites have passes available; we recommend calling a park prior to your visit. (See the park search to locate a specific park.) There are a number of entrance passes available, including park-specific passes as well as passes that offer entrance to more than 2,000 federal recreation sites in addition to the national parks (Annual, Military, Senior, 4th Grade, Access, and Volunteer passes). Tule Lake Visitor Center

Rangers are the visitor center during the summer 7 days a week. The rest of the year, you can view the fairgrounds museum Monday – Friday, when fair staff is there.

Welcome to the Tule Lake Unit of WWII Valor in the Pacific National Monument

The Tule Lake Unit, WWII Valor in the Pacific National Monument includes both the the Tule Lake Segregation Center, the largest and most controversial of the sites where Japanese Americans were incarcerated during World War II, and Camp Tulelake, which was first a Civilian Conservation Corps camp, then an additional facility to detain Japanese Americans, and finally a prisoner of war camp.

Tule Lake Unit Visitor Center & Tulelake – Butte Valley Fairgrounds Museum

The Tule Lake Unit currently used the Fairgrounds Museum as its temporary visitor center. This shared visitor center is staffed by Rangers seven days a week from Memorial Day weekend – Labor Day from 8:30am – 5:00pm. From Labor Day – Memorial Day the visitor center is not staffed by Rangers, but you may view the exhibits and pick up maps and brochures Monday – Friday from 9:30 a.m to 4:30 p.m. or when fair staff is there.

Summer daytime highs average 75° to 80°F; lows average 50°F. Occasional thunderstorms occur in summer. Winter daytime highs average 40°F; lows average 20°F. Morning fog is frequent from autumn through spring.
