The Ruth’s Chris Steak House legacy began when Ruth Fertel mortgaged her home for $22,000 to purchase the “Chris Steak House,” a 60-seat restaurant located in New Orleans, Louisiana. More than 40 years later, our success continues to be driven by our adherence to Ruth’s core values, which are to deliver the highest quality food, beverages and service in a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Today, there are more than 150 Ruth’s Chris Steak Houses, including 20 international franchisee-owned restaurants in Mexico, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Tokyo, Aruba, Canada and Dubai.

Our signature sizzle : When we brought our world-famous sizzling steaks to our El Paso steakhouse, we also created a space celebrating the spirit of our West Texas home. A contemporary Southwest design, rosewood woodworking and rich cognac leather warm the dining area, while intimate booths to distinctive communal style tables make our bustling bar a favorite gathering place.

Private dining to expertly crafted events : Two private dining areas transform to welcome business functions to celebratory events, comfortably hosting from 25 to 75 people.

World-class steaks with a warm family welcome : The proud spirit of this community would have delighted our founder, Ruth Fertel. Driven by enthusiasm and determination, this single mother of two grew a humble steakhouse into one of the most celebrated restaurants in the world.
