How do I obtain a park entrance pass?

Only 118 of your 417 park sites charge entrance fees. You can obtain park entrance passes by visiting a park site that charges an entrance fee. Entrance fee sites have passes available; we recommend calling a park prior to your visit. (See the park search to locate a specific park.) There are a number of entrance passes available, including park-specific passes as well as passes that offer entrance to more than 2,000 federal recreation sites in addition to the national parks (Annual, Military, Senior, 4th Grade, Access, and Volunteer passes). Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial

The Visitor Center is open daily from May 20 through October 1. From October 1 through October 23 the park is open Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays. ***The Observation Deck, Rotunda and Plazas will be inaccessible during 2017 while the Memorial Column is cleaned and repaired.***

    Entrance Fees:

    • $7.00 – Adult Entrance Fee
      The fee grants access to the Memorial’s Observation Deck 317 feet above Lake Erie. The Visitor Center and grounds have no admission fee.
    • $0.00 – Youth Entrance Fee
      Youth 15 years or younger are not charge entrance fees.

    • $30.00 – Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial Annual Pass
      This pass grants holder and 3 accompanying adults admission to Memorial Observation Deck. The pass is good for 1 calendar year.

    Welcome to Perry’s Victory

    Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial was established to honor those who fought in the Battle of Lake Erie, during the War of 1812, and to celebrate the long-lasting peace among Great Britain, Canada and the U.S. The Memorial, a Doric column, rising 352 feet over Lake Erie is situated 5 miles from the longest undefended border in the world.

    Directions

    Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial is located within the Village of Put-in-Bay on South Bass Island. The most common way to reach the island is by the Jet Express or Miller Boat Line ferries. When traveling east, use Ohio Turnpike to US 250 north to SR 2 west. When traveling west, use Ohio Turnpike to SR 53 north to SR 2 east. From SR 2 take the SR 163 exit OR the ST 250 exit for the Jet Express passenger ferry, OR take the SR 53 exit for Miller Boat Line vehicle and passenger ferry.

    Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial’s Visitor Center is open seasonally so check schedule. It is also free to enter. In the Visitor Center a visitor can watch the 15 minute film on the battle and learn about the War of 1812, Battle of Lake Erie, the peace that has endured since the War of 1812 amongst the US, United Kingdom, and Canada, and construction of the Memorial.

    Weather

    Summer months can be extremely hot and humid, with occasional and sudden severe thunderstorms. Fall and spring are pleasant with cool temperatures and brisk winds. During the Winter the Memorial and Visitor Center are closed.
