Our Texas Roots Run Deep. For over 60 years we’ve been serving generations of Texas great-tasting, made from scratch, home-style meals at a great value in a friendly environment. Quality is a term tossed about rather loosely these days. But at Luby’s, quality actually means something. It’s about real food, real ingredients and home-cooked dishes made every day by people who are most certainly at home in the kitchen.
Dedicated team members arrive early each day. Like fine dining chefs, they prepare the day’s entrees with unprocessed, nutritious ingredients. Some begin by peeling and chopping fresh onions, carrots and celery hearts for Luby’s homemade sauces and gravies. Others are busy preparing potatoes, cutting fresh-from-the farm veggies, or cooking the elbow macaroni for our famous macaroni and cheese!
Enjoy comfort-food favorites, like our cult favorite – the “square fish” – a tender fillet of fresh fish, covered with an addictive secret recipe cracker crust, fried to a golden perfection. Or, our chicken fried steak, tender steak perfectly battered and fried in true Texas style, served with gravy.
