Clerks should be FIRED!!!! No Masks and obnoxious attitude.

I am a senior citizen who normally shops at this store. NO MORE!!!! I needed to pick up a few necessary items during the virus scare. and I noticed the following. NO MASKS on workers. When I asked two ladies why they weren’t wearing a mask, one stayed silent and ignored me and the other said she had asthma which put her in a dangerous situationwith the virus. She should be covered for her own protection. The man who checked me out should be FIRED!!!! he wore a mask on his chin and neck, not his nose and mouth.. When I asked him to put on the mask, he said “Have a nice day” and just stared at me daring me to repeat my request. I said again, Please put your mask on, He repeated his’ Have a nice day’ and stared and dared me. me to repeat my request. They’ve lost a good customer. GI used to be my go to store. NO LONGER.

Our Company

In 1946, Jim Read started selling military surplus for deep discounts and Grocery Outlet has been wowing bargain-minded shoppers ever since. Delivering thrilling deals has become our mission; in fact, it’s led us to become the nation’s largest extreme value grocery retailer. At Grocery Outlet, you’ll find brand-name groceries and farm fresh produce at up to 40-70% off conventional retail prices.

Our customers love to save money on high-quality, wholesome food. Saving our customers money is what we do best.

Our buyers shop the world, traveling thousands of miles each year to find the best deals available. They have developed long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with thousands of producers and manufacturers over the years. Grocery Outlet buyers are experts at buying product opportunistically; that is, product outside the normal retail channel, i.e. packaging changes, product overruns, and surplus inventories, to bring the best bargains back to our stores.

The third generation of the Read family is now running the business, with 270+ independently operated stores in California, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Washington. Grocery Outlet stores are located in cities large and small, and serve all kinds of neighborhoods. Most stores are independently operated by locally-based families. We are truly a family business.
