Our Story

Batteries Plus Bulbs, was the first organization to respond to the evolving needs of the replacement battery market. Our first store opened in 1988 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. We began franchising in 1992 and opened our first franchise-owned store in Fort Wayne, IN. The increasing demand for “specialty” and replacement batteries, combined with our reputation for solving battery problems and providing helpful advice, has led to our rapid success and expansion. In 2010, we refined the model of the all-battery franchise concept by adding light bulbs to our product line. In 2014, we launched smartphone and tablet repair services nationwide, providing in-store repairs for cracked screens, battery replacements, and more.

We carry a wide selection of batteries and light bulbs for residential and commercial use. Conveniently located in Woburn Four Corners, a little over one mile south off 128 (exit 33A), right next to KFC/Taco Bell. We are open seven days a week. We also repair cracked iPhone, iPad and Samsung screens. Our knowledgeable staff can help you select the right battery or bulb for your needs. We can check your car’s battery, starter and alternator for free, and we install most car batteries. We also trouble shoot the battery and charger in all sorts of devices including cell phones, laptops, digital cameras, UPS units, cordless tools, wheelchairs, scooters, key fobs, watches, etc. We have light bulb displays to measure and compare incandescent, CFL and LED energy consumption rates and annual savings. We can also show you how different color temperature bulbs can create entirely different lighting experiences for reading, warm atmosphere, or bright illumination. Become an educated consumer before you buy your batteries or bulbs for your home or your office.
