About The North Carolina State Capitol Foundation
The North Carolina State Capitol Foundation, Inc., a non-profit organization, was founded in 1976 when a group of forward-thinking individuals envisioned the State Capitol as not just a symbol but also a vibrant historic site. Today, the Capitol commemorates our past and celebrates the future.
To that end, the Foundation supports North Carolina in its mission to further educational opportunities at the Capitol and to encourage the continual restoration and interpretation of this important civic building. By raising both awareness and funds, the Foundation continues to transform the State Capitol site into an experience that will educate and inspire generations to come.
