Post Office - Mitchell
Mitchell, SD Hours and Location

The Mitchell Post Office has been a nightmare over the past 6 months. We moved in March of this year and informed the post office of our move and filed a forwarding address. We moved from 1312 Mitchell Blvd. to 1100 W. Norway #207. We have now moved to 2706 S. Capital Street. Forwarded mail took 10 to 12 days to receive mail at the Norway address. We have also received some mail at Eden Apartments, yes we own Eden and got that mail, but just follow instructions please. Today we finally received a check in the mail that was first sent to us on June 26,2020. The check was from a Mitchell business. They got the check back and it stated “temporarily away”. What the does that mean? If we were out of town during this time we always had the mail stopped and picked it up later. You had the forwarding address. They tried again and got it back again. Now we get correspondence in the mail that we need to confirm that 2706 S. Capital Street is actually an address. We have been receiving mail hear for the past few weeks. Ask your mail person, it is obvious this address is here. Plus you are suppose to forward magazines that need a subscription, however we did not get the SD Magazine and you know very well that it is a paid subscription. We really wonder what mail we have not and will not receive. If the Mitchell Postmaster can not do the job find someone that can. Would never make it in the real world. Denny Kaemingk 2706 S.
