Goin’ Postal Bakersfield is located in Northwest Bakersfield on the corner of Brimhall and Jewetta directly across from Liberty Park. Opened in November 2009, Goin’ Postal Bakersfield is owned and operated by the father and son team of Gary and Joel Young. The Youngs have called Bakersfield home since 1976 when they relocated from southern California. Gary retired in 2006 after spending 35 years in the grocery and consumer products industries. A proud graduate of Bakersfield High School (Once a Driller, Always a Driller!), Bakersfield College (Go Gades!) and Washington State University (Go Cougs!), Joel spent the last 10 years as a Project Manager in the construction industry. Gary and his wife, Lynda (who grew up in Arvin), have been married for almost 45 years. Joel and his wife, Angela (who was born and raised in Bakersfield) have been married for 13 years and have 4 children.
