Cliff and Karen Sumner are happy to be starting their own business together in a great location offering a neighborhood personal touch to the shipping and packaging business. Cliff s background in the distribution end of the business is a great asset to the growing shipping center market. Karen also worked in distribution together with Cliff when they first moved to the Martinsburg area 8 years ago. Cliff and Karen built and opened the Ralph Lauren Childrenswear Distribution Center on Novak Drive near the Martinsburg Airport for the S. Schwab Company and literally watched the facility grow to employment for over 180 employees shipping over $300,000,000 in sales to Retail stores. Cliff, former Vice President of Distribution was responsible for the Overall operations of the facility and Karen, who headed the Human Resources Department, made sure he had enough employees to ship to the thousands of Ralph Lauren Childrenswear customers in the United Sates, Mexico and Canada. After working many years for major companies like GE, TRW, Lowe s and The American Red Cross, Karen convinced Cliff they should be working for themselves and the Shipping Center Business was the correct match for their business background. Cliff did the research and determined Goin Postal was the right franchise. They are very happy with their decision.
